The KA Reiki Clinician 2-day, 10 hour course is designed for clinicians interested in enhancing patient care through alternative methods. This course will introduce clinicians to the principles, practices, and applications of Reiki within the context of patient care by use of interactive discussions, patient scenarios, and in-class and at-home practice. Throughout the course, clinicians will explore the fundamental concepts of Reiki, including its origins, philosophy, and principles. Clinicians will also learn about chakras, Reiki healing techniques, Reiki meditations and affirmations, and using Reiki to recognize and decrease implicit bias in patient care. At the end of the course, clinicians will be certified as Level II KA Reiki Practitioners and may receive up to 10 contact hours from the California Board of Registered Nursing and 10 Class A Credits; Code Number 104501 from the the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology.
